The Environmental Protection Agency provides administrative services related to licensing, permits, accreditation, certification and recognition procedures in the environmental sector.

Administrative services

1. Provision of information compiled from environmental reports and data to individuals and legal entities
2. Collection of environmental reports, data, and information
3. Acceptance of annual reports on waste generation and management, as well as on the placing of products and packaging on the market
4. Registration of waste managers in the State Register of Waste Managers
5. Issuance of CITES permits for the import into or export from the Republic of Lithuania of animals and/or plants, their parts, and products derived therefrom
6. European Union Certificate of Movement of Live Specimens
7. European Union Certificate of Commercial Use
8. Registration, deregistration, and data correction of natural and legal persons in the register of persons using surface water
9. Issuance of a certificate for the management of fluorinated greenhouse gases, issuance of a duplicate certificate, suspension of its validity, revocation of the suspension, and revocation of its validity
10. Issuance of a license for the organization of the management of product and/or packaging waste
11. Inclusion of product and/or packaging waste managers in the list of waste managers authorized to issue documents certifying the management of product and/or packaging waste; modification of data in the list of waste managers and removal from the list
12. Registration of producers and/or importers in the Register of Producers and Importers, modification of data, and deregistration from the Register
13. Approval of greenhouse gas emission monitoring and ton-kilometer accounting plans
14. Issuance, amendment, correction, and revocation of incineration activity licenses
15. Permit to use a fishing area
16. Permit to carry out dredging and disposal works in the waters of the sea and seaport
17. Issuance, renewal, issuance of a duplicate, revocation
18. Issuance of a permit for the release of genetically modified organisms into the environment

37. Registration, amendment of registration data, and deregistration of facilities using organic solvents
38. Issuance, amendment, suspension, reinstatement of suspension, and revocation of hazardous waste management licenses
39. Issuance of a permit for the trade in fishing gear
40. Registration of voluntary participation in the Community Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS)

Other non-administrative services:

1. Assigning the European Union Ecolabel to the relevant product group
2. Approval of a nature management plan
3. Authorization to act as an authorized declarant for the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism
4. Refund of fees for recreational fishing permits
5. Coordination of the wood fuel ash utilization plan
6. Preparation, coordination, and reporting on the plan for organizing the deposit system for single-use packaging, the financing scheme, and the educational program
